My journey with clay

I am self-taught. I learned everything through trial and error. I spent countless hours watching YouTube channels and took several online courses on foreign websites. In October 2023, I bought a kiln, and that's when my journey as a ceramist began :)

There were many times when, after 7 hours of sculpting, I ruined my piece and had to start over the next day. It's been the best lesson in patience, understanding how far I can push myself, and learning the right moisture and hardness the clay needs to determine whether I should wait or continue. Sometimes, after firing a glazed piece, I ended up with such failures that they ended up in the trash.

I have a wheel, but I don't use it. I prefer sculpting rather than throwing on the wheel. It's more imperfect, slower, much more meticulous, and therefore incredible for mental well-being.

Where my journey with clay will lead me is still written in the stars :) Right now, I'm most happy when I see that you enjoy my "type of art" :)
